Mission Statement
The mission of the Information Technology Services Project Management Office is to provide an enterprise-wide approach to identify, prioritize, and successfully execute a technology portfolio of initiatives and projects that are aligned with ETSU’s strategic goals and educational vision. The PMO’s primary responsibility is to manage and control project constraints by ensuring project plans are implemented on schedule, within scope, and budget. Project management leadership is responsible for establishing and implementing best practices for the benefit of ETSU in a way that encourages collaboration, standardization, and overall improvement in our educational community.
Vision Statement
- Supports faculty, staff, students and the ETSU community as a source for project management leadership and expertise
- Promote quality in the project management discipline evidenced through best practices and methodologies
- Utilize PMBOK-based methodology and support a ‘best fit’ approach for project management at ETSU
- Provide a channel of communication to the ETSU community that includes visibility to key metrics on project status
- Build project management maturity at the organization level

- Utilize the proper methodologies and best practice standards to ensure successful completion of all ITS projects
- Manage the ITS project portfolio
